Coach Gallagher is a 2004 graduate of Dublin Scioto High School. Coach was a State Champion in 2003, team captain, All-American, along with being a multiple All-State and All-Midwest Selection. Coach Gallagher attended Ohio Wesleyan University, where he lettered all four years, was a team captain, and a multiple time All-NCAC selection. After College, Coach Gallagher began his collegiate coaching career. He was a college coach for 10 years before leaving the profession. Coach Gallagher couldn't be more excited for this season and he is extremely proud to be back with his Alma Mater.
Varsity Asst Coach
Dave Castignola attended and graduated from Dublin Scioto High School in 2005. He served as a captain during his senior season. Dave was on the 2003 state championship team and received first team All State, All Midwest and All-American honors by the end of his high school career. Dave went on to play a year at Fairfield University in Connecticut before transferring to Ohio Wesleyan University, where he played for another two years. During his time as a Battling Bishop, Dave earned First Team All Conference honors and was again named team captain. In August of '18, Dave and his wife Marie (also a graduate of Dublin Scioto) were married. They currently live in Powell, OH with their dog Cassidy. They enjoy OSU football games/tailgates, traveling Ohio and going on walks or to parks with their dog.
Varsity Asst Coach
Andrew is in his first year of coaching boys high school lacrosse. He brings a strong background and knowledge of the game to the table, which will help the program grow. Andrew played lacrosse at St. Paul's School for Boys, in the hot bed of Maryland. His senior season, he captained a team that won the MIAA Conference Championship, finished as the #1 team in the state and a final ranking of #2 in the nation. Andrew went on to play collegiate lacrosse at Ohio Wesleyan University, where he lettered all four years and captained the defense. Andrew is excited to help restore the Dublin Scioto lacrosse program to its winning tradition. Andrew resides in Dublin with his wife Michelle, also a graduate of Dublin Scioto, and their twin daughters Riley and Sloane.
Coach Held enters his third year at Scioto (6th year coaching). He played at Olentangy High School for 3 years, along side coach Steen. His senior year, he captained their conference championship team. Coach Held attended Alderson-Broaddus University in Philippi, WV for a year. He was a starter and captain for both the Football and Lacrosse teams. Austin moved back to Ohio where he currently resides with daughter Maya. they love watching lacrosse on tv and playing other sports as well. Coach Held loves being at Scioto, contributing to player development, helping players achieve their best and making the program better.
